Thomas Exner

Sozialsteuerung durch Gesetz oder gesellschaftlicher Wandel durch Zeit?

Abstract from the author

Portrait des Autors‘Law’ as the central form of governmental action unavoidable commits modern states to a specific speed in taking actions. Otherwise increasing social change and social dynamics will cause a de-synchronization in the pace of social flow and legislative social control. This article critically throws light on the possibility the legislator has on its own and in cooperation with the judicial and executive branches to adopt and accelerate strategies. Finally, it will claim that social speed should be seen as a chance to revitalize the original purpose of ‘law’.
